Azure Network Engineer (m/f)

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our L2/L3 team. The candidate must have experience in network operations, with a strong focus on connectivity via ExpressRoute with multiple on-premise locations and hybrid cloud connectivity AWS/Azure. What is your role about?

• Oversee and manage daily network operations for Azure enterprise environments
• Ensure management and updating of rules in the central Azure firewall and ensure optimal network security
• Ensure fast and efficient resolution of network issues, maintain high network performance and availability
• Collaborate with the team of architects and L2/L3 support teams, provide expert advice and manage network optimization and processes, handle and update internal documentation
• Monitor network performance and integrity, make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and security

What are our requirements?

• University degree
• Czech – C1 level (negotiating proficiency)
• English – B2 level (advanced proficiency)
• Professional experience: at least 3 years of experience in managing network operations for complex Azure enterprise environments
• Technical skills:
  • Knowledge of ExpressRoute connectivity and experience with managing multiple on-premise locations
  • Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity with AWS/Azure
  • Understanding of Azure firewall and experience with managing and updating firewall rules
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues
• Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and IP addressing
  • Knowledge of Azure network security groups (NSGs)
  • Understanding of IPv4 & IPv6 address allocation, subnetting, and routing protocols like BGP
  • Experience with Terraform and understanding ADO Pipelines
  • CCNA certification and Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
• Soft skills:
  • Communication skills, ability to participate in and contribute to network discussions with the team of architects, ability to quickly learn new technologies, customer orientation
