ŠKODA AUTO brings quality and popular cars to their customers in the Czech Republic and around the world. Our mission in developing these cars is to constantly innovate our products so that our customers appreciate, want and know how to use new technologies and new features.
In our department of onboard electrics and electronics development, we are already working on all the technologies of current and future mobility - electric mobility, autonomous driving, connectivity, online services and more. The specific challenge and responsibility of our Pre-development team is to innovate vehicles across all of the above areas. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team. What is your role about?
- Come up with your own ideas, test and analyse features from competitors, evaluate ideas from colleagues and feed them into the innovation backlog
- Coordinate the preparation of the PoC (Proof of Concept) demonstrator
- Ensure customer evaluation of innovation benefits through UX testing
- Technically evaluate the impact of the innovation on the elec. architecture of a car
- Coordinate prototype development with serial suppliers
- Present innovations to the company management at ŠKODA IVET
- Promote innovation requirements within ŠKODA and across the Group (VW, CARIAD)
In which areas you can realise your potential:
- Comfort electronics (innovations in the areas of lock/unlock, climate control, door and window protection, alarms, etc.)
- Infotainment (innovations in vehicle infotainment, display and controls)
- HMI (innovations in the area of vehicle control, both in terms of physical controls and in terms of the actual display of information on the vehicle displays)
- Online services (innovations in the provision of connectivity services for new markets or the extension of the service portfolio in existing markets)
The technologies you will use:
- JIRA for project management and product change request management
- Confluence for regular reporting to management
- And of course project and office tools (MS Office 365 including cloud-based Power BI, Power Plattform, etc.)
- You will test the results of your work with real customers on prototype cars
What are our requirements?
- University degree in a technical field (preferably electronics or IT)
- Knowledge of English (B2 level) or German (B2 level) for daily communication with foreign colleagues and suppliers, also some of our internal meetings are in English/German (knowledge of English required, knowledge of German is an advantage)
- Ability to coordinate and lead projects
- Experience in leading your own project team is an advantage
